The Astute Mission
Astute Magazine’s mission is to inform, inspire and enlighten the Black leaders of tomorrow. In February 2009, President Barack Obama addressed Congress and pledged government support to make sure the U.S has the world’s highest graduation rate by 2020.
The President stated, “in a global economy where the most valuable skill you can sell is your knowledge, a good education is no longer just a pathway to opportunity-it is a prerequisite.” In response to this address, President Obama signed orders to promote excellence, innovation, and sustainability at colleges and universities across America. These institutions will use Astute Magazine as a vehicle to promote the success stories of their Black population, inspiring others to reach the President’s education goal in 2020.
